But this patient came to me wanting to know, ‘Hey, what are my options to improve my smile?’ And we had talked about maybe just replacing the dental bridge. So he has a dental bridge that was replacing a missing tooth.
Now, getting the backstory on this, the part that was frustrating for me is hearing from the patient that he was never advised that, hey, maybe he’s a candidate for a dental implant.
So we walked through that process, and sure, it’s going to add time. But docs, hey, let’s give all patients all of their options, right? Hey, we owe that to them.
So we actually placed a dental implant where the missing tooth was. Then we transitioned him, gave him much better symmetry, much better color. I mean, it was a very nice color upgrade, some beautiful restorations here, and we were able to give him a smile that he is so confident with.
