Should You Get Invisalign?

“Hey, this is Dr. Andrew Hall, and today I would just like to take a few moments and go through some frequently asked questions about Invisalign.

Am I a candidate, or will this process work for me? Unless you have some significant bite changes that we have to perform, it’ll work for you.

How long is this treatment going to take? Every treatment is unique and the times may vary, but for an adult patient, the average time in treatment is 12 months.

How often do I have to wear these aligners? We want to see you wearing the aligners ideally 22 hours a day. However, the nice thing is that you do get to take them out to eat, you do get to take them out to brush your teeth, and then we ask you to take them out if you’re taking in any sugary substance.

Does this process hurt? While you may feel a little bit of pressure when you change your aligners, I would tell you that this is a very comfortable process.

What do I do when I’m done with this in order to make sure my teeth stay straight? Well, this is where the conversation of retainers comes up, and the importance of maintaining that smile and wearing your retainers on a regular basis.
