“Who’s a candidate for clear aligners? For us, it’s an adult patient that probably had orthodontics as a kid, probably lost their retainer, didn’t wear their retainer, one of the two, or some combination of that. And then they’ve had orthodontic relapse, and the teeth have started to shift back.
That is a primary candidate for clear aligners.
So, what are the benefits of clear aligners? You can eat whatever you want. You can take them out to brush and floss, so your oral hygiene should actually be just as good as it is normally, right? ‘Cause those are downsides to brackets and wires, right? You can’t eat what you want. It’s hard to keep them clean, those sorts of things.
And from a social standpoint, it’s just easier, right, to not have metal mouth as an adult. So those are some of the pros of clear aligners.”
