Before we began
Before we started on this case, our patient suffered from discoloration, as well as some unevenness, crookedness and small, unwanted gaps between her teeth. Dr. Andrew Hall also noticed some worn enamel. Our patient wished that she could have a brighter, whiter smile and had always dreamed of having beautiful, straight teeth. She wanted to boost her self-esteem and feel more confident when she smiled.
A smile is often the first thing people notice, and our patient wanted to feel good about her teeth by improving their overall appearance. Dr. Hall recommended that she consider veneers as a solution to concealing her imperfections, as they have become a very popular way of restoring the smile and are a highly effective treatment for enhancing the aesthetics of the teeth.
The solution
Dr. Hall recommended that our patient opt for dental veneers to help restore her smile and conceal the imperfections she was unhappy with. He used thin custom-made dental veneers, which were bonded to the teeth. Made from very durable material, the veneers gave our patient a much more beautiful smile that will last for many years to come.
The veneers effectively concealed our patient’s unwanted gaps, straightened and balanced out her smile, and significantly improved the color of her teeth. Because she also had some worn enamel, the veneers worked to protect and restore her teeth as well.
The procedure
The procedure itself did not cause any pain or discomfort, as Dr. Hall and his team worked to ensure she was comfortable and at ease at all times. The entire process took three visits to complete — initially, our patient’s smile was thoroughly evaluated, and a model of her teeth was created in a laboratory so that she could get an idea of what her final veneers would look like.
At the second visit, Dr. Hall prepared our patient’s teeth by shaping the surface. This helped to ensure that the veneers would fit properly. An impression of her teeth was taken, and Dr. Hall helped her to decide on the final shade of the veneers.
Finally, Dr. Hall placed resin between the teeth and the veneers to bond them in place. Our patient’s bite was adjusted to make sure that the veneers all fitted comfortably.
The outcome
The procedure was highly successful, and with proper care and good dental hygiene, our patient will enjoy her beautiful smile for many years. The dental veneers that Dr. Hall used are made from good quality materials and are designed to last for the long-term. Our patient was advised on the importance of proper brushing and flossing, so that her perfect smile can last for at least a decade.
