The Whitetime Scam
A number of British consumers responded to online ads for a “risk-free” trial of a teeth-whitening product known as Whitetime only to find themselves later being billed the equivalent of hundreds of dollars for products that they didn’t want or didn’t receive.
According to an article in The Mirror, Whitetime is a Polish enterprise run by 20-year-old Piotr Kaszubski, who is also known by the alias Peter Cash. The article states that Whitetime responded that customers were being charged after their free trials per the terms and conditions of the promotion, but many people say they were never provided with terms and conditions, and a number of consumers said they never received a free trial or subsequent products.
Although there are currently no documented complaints regarding Whitetime in the United States, The Mirror in a separate article provides information on how to fight Whitetime if you fell victim to the scam.
